ROBIN WILLIAMS GOES BACK TO COMIC FLICKS

After a series of darker, dramatic roles, Robin Williams is up to star in 'The Big White'.

In this dark comedy Williams will play a travel agent who wants to plan a permanent road trip to a warm locale. He thinks it may help his wife, who suffers from psychosomatic Tourette's syndrome.

To get the money, he steals a corpse and pretends it's his long-missing brother. The plan goes awry when two hitman come looking for the body, which they'd stashed.

The picture will be directed by Mark Mylod, whose British debut 'Ali G Indahouse' won two BAFTA Awards. Though, as yet, it has nor secured finance for production.

It's another indie-style turn for Williams albeit in a return to his moer madcap style. In decending order of quality Williams starred last year in the Oscar worthy 'One Hour Photo', the gripping 'Insomnia' and the 'let's not really talk about 'Death to Smoochy'.

He has flirted with the Artisan Pictures project for the past month, and his representatives at Creative Artists Agency began shopping the film on Friday.

"I'm contracted to publicise this crappy picture till 2004!"
