NEVE CAMPBELL GETS TO PLAY A REAL QUEEN IN 'CHURCHILL' ROM-COM

Never in the field of human endeavour has there been such a movie about Sir Winston Churchill.

Christian Slater and Neve Campbell have signed to star in the upcoming U.K.- based comedy feature 'Churchill: The Hollywood Years', the movie's producers said Tuesday.

The project begins shooting March 23 in England. Possibly the same day as war in Iraq breaks out. The movie details the story of a group of U.S. movie moguls who arrive in the United Kingdom to shoot a film about the great English wartime prime minister.

On arrival for the first day of the shoot, however, the filmmakers discover the actor playing Churchill to be a robust, unattractive cigar-smoker - in other words exactly like Winston!

So of course, they opt to replace him with a better-looking, more virile actor (Slater). Campbell will play an actress who is portraying a young Queen Elizabeth II.

Slater's career has slipped recently as he has been relatively quiet since Windtalkers. Campbell has never quite parlayed her TV icon status from Party Of Five into major stardom except for her three-timer role as Sidney the Screamer
