FINAL EVER STAR WARS SCREENPLAY ALMOST AT THE END

Star Wars: Episode III producer Rick McCallum told the official Homing Beacon newsletter that, 'We get our preliminary first draft of the script next week, which we're very excited about'.

McCallum was speaking from Fox Studios in Sydney, where he is preparing the production. 'In just over two months, the stages of the motion picture facility will be used for shooting Episode III', he added.

Production begins on or around June 30, finishing sometime in September, and things are on track, McCallum said. 'Already, the crew down under has enough information from George Lucas to begin construction of environments, props and costumes. After that, George will be rewriting to a more formal first draft and will keep revising right up until the start of shooting'.

McCallum added that the story will fit with Episode IV 'in some very cool and unexpected ways'.

Actors will begin arriving in Australia sometime in the summer (or winter in Australia).

But stunt coordinator Nick Gillard has met briefly with both Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor in the United States, McCallum said. 'Hayden is coming shortly to begin massive rehearsals, stunt rehearsals', he said. 'We expect Ewan in the next four to five weeks. He's starting to work on all the fight sequences in the movie, which I think will be extraordinary'.
