TILLY ADDED TO THE 'PLATTER' MENU |
|
Jennifer Tilly has signed on for the indie romantic comedy "Deluxe Combo Platter". Tilly is best known for her murderous turn as a bi-sexual killer in "Bound".
|
And most recently in "The Cat's Meow". She joins Marla Sokoloff ("The Practice"), and veteran Canadian comic Dave Thomas in the flick.
The story centers on a small-town waitress (Sokoloff) who pines for the town's most eligible bachelor. Just when she finally decides to throw caution to the wind and pursue her man, a successful, beautiful, big-city corporate executive (Monika Schnarre ) blows into town, throwing the entire male population into a tizzy.
Jason Lewis, fresh from "Sex and the City," and Jonathan Cherry ("House of the Dead") are also in negotiations to join the cast. Veteran cameraman Vic Sarin will direct. Shooting is scheduled to begin next month in British Columbia.
Tilly will next be seen in Disney's "The Haunted Mansion," while Thomas ("SCTV," "Grace Under Fire") will voice a character in the studio's "Brother Bear," which opens nationwide on Nov. 1.
