Daredevil secret agent and irreverent father of the groom Steve Tobias (Michael Douglas) gives uptight podiatrist and father of the bride Jerry Peyser (Albert Brooks) a bad case of pre-nuptial jitters when they finally meet during the celebrations leading up to the wedding of their children.

If the plot to this sounds vaguely familiar there could be a couple of reasons. First off.... it's a remake of a hilarious 1979 flick The 'In-Laws' starring the funny Alan Arkin and Peter Falk. Second... the set-up is remarkably similar to 'Meet the Parents' - and the upcoming sequel 'Meet The Fokkers'.
