An
unpopular but super-intelligent teenage boy, Alvin Johnson
(Cannon), hires a cheerleader (Milian) (by paying to
fix her mother's car which she has recently wrecked)
to pose as his girlfriend so that he can improve his
reputation in school, which leads to high jinks and
shenanigans that are both romantic *and* comedic. |

is a remake (with a mostly black cast) of a 1987 (mostly
white) teen comedy that wasn't great shakes then. By
all accounts it's a big fat howling dog. |
