Two young(ish) plain clothes detectives, Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (Wilson) and Dave Starsky (Stiller) always seem to get the toughest cases from their boss, Captain Dobey, and relying on omniscient street informer Huggy Bear (Dogg). On the TV show, they raced to the scene of the crimes in their souped-up 1974 Ford Torino hot rod. The movie will remain in the same 70s era as the TV series. |

The
only problem here is the directors desire to make this
a true crime caper with comedy. The casting of both
Stiller and Wilson make this ripe for a parody of comic
crime. Wilson in particular is wearing very thin with
his Blonde Mimbo schtick. Expect precisely the same
limp wristed insoussiant 'performance' as in I Spy,
Meet The Parents, Behind Enemy Lines, Shanghai Noon,
et al. |
