Remake
of the 1975 Italian comedy which is in fact, a total
rip of the classic JM Barrie play The Admirable Crichton
- made numerous times as a movie, most notably in 1957
with Kenneth Moore. In this version a slovenly sailor
(played by Adriano Giannini, son of Giancarlo Giannini
from the original film) is cast adrift on an island
with his employer, a rich, self-centered woman who is
used to having her own way. Cut off from society, he
reverses their roles, stripping her of pride and vanity
and controlling her completely. Until, that is, she
falls in love with him. |
